Boiler Upgrade Scheme

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) supports the decarbonisation of heat in buildings. It provides upfront capital grants to support the installation of air source and ground source heat pumps in homes and non-domestic buildings in England and Wales. £450 million of grant funding is available from 2022 to 2028.

Acting on your behalf we can apply for:

£7,500 off the cost and installation of an air source heat pump Aand Ground Source Heat Pump.

How it works

The scheme is designed to minimise the amount of work property owners need to do. It is ‘installer-led’, which means your chosen installer will:Make a BUS application on your behalf.Liaise with Ofgem on most related matters.

Notify Ofgem on heating system installation.Claim money from Ofgem on completion.Other than agreeing that you have had the system installed there is nothing else that you as the customer need to do.

The effect is that your final payment (see payment schedule) will be reduced by the grant amount.

Installer eligibility

Installers need to be certified by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).

This means that

A: they are technically competent and

B: the products they use in their installations meet the correct standards.

Wright Renewables Ltd is a fully accredited MCS installer and as such we operate and are bound by the MCS terms and conditions, ensuring you are fully protected. The Microgeneration Certification Scheme is a requirement of the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. MCS certifies both products and installation companies to help ensure that Microgeneration products are installed to a high standard.Further reading on the Microgeneration Certification Scheme can be sourced by visiting:
